Since 2007, Tulsa Girls Art School has provided after-school art and youth development programming to at-promise girls. Art is the vehicle. Fostering resilient, self-determined, and empowered young women is the goal. Art shows provide earning potential. Students receive a portion of sale proceeds to benefit their future educational expenses.

Time to celebrate- music and dancing
This year Tulsa Girls Art School has four graduating seniors, Oktavia Coachman, Gisselle Delgato, Kiryn Hill and Sandra Sanchez. These girls are having a joint show with a celebratory preview at Tulsa Girls Art School, 2202 E. Admiral Blvd on May 31, 2018, 5 p.m.
We are excited to announce that for the first time TGAS is partnering with Chrysalis Salon and Spa, 7 E. MB Brady, in the Tulsa Arts District where the girls will have their exhibition be part of the First Friday Art Crawl, opening on Friday, June 1, 2018 5-9.
The show is titled Rose of the Winds. Rose of the winds is a traditional figure on a compass, map or monument used to display the orientation of the cardinal directions; North, South, East and West. This serves as a beautiful metaphor for our four seniors; each of them has her own unique style and theme just as the four winds, Boreas, Notos, Eurus and Zephyrus each have their own personality and orientation.
Rose of the Winds- a traditional figure on a compass, map or monument to display the orientation of the cardinal directions - is a fitting metaphor for our four seniors. Each having her own unique style and theme just as do the four winds, Boreas, Notos, Eurus and Zephyrus.
Come check out the renewed energy at Tulsa Girls Art School and join us for an evening of art, conversation, dancing students, music by DJ Kylie, wine and light bites. The show is free and open to the public.
